Overseen by the BPIF, the BBD&PAs exist to promote and acknowledge the innovation of both book design and production.
A panel of judges, selected from design, publishing, production and print, recently gathered for two full days of judging with awards partners at Oxford Brookes University.
Some of the nominees from the print sector include: Pureprint Group for Limited Edition & Fine Binding, Digitally Printed Books and Best British Book; Boss Print for Limited Edition & Fine Binding, Self-Published Books, Photographic Books and Best British Book; and Geoff Neal Group for Self-Published Books.
The winners of each category will be announced on Thursday 21 November at an awards ceremony that will take place at the Landmark Hotel in Marylebone, London. As well as having a winner for each of the categories, one book will also be crowned the overall Book of the Year.
Sponsors for the event include Canon, Fedrigoni, IFS, Müller Martini and the Printing Charity.
