B&P Lightbrigade announcement expected on Monday

Administrators for B&P Lightbrigade, the Surrey-based digital printer and supplier that went into administration on 2 March, have said they expect to make an announcement next Monday regarding its future.

A Vantis Business Recovery spokeswoman for the company told PrintWeek that it had received interest from around 15 parties but it is staying tight-lipped in anticipation of an announcement next week.

She said: "We are talking to a number of interested parties and have been actively looking for a buyer. We will have to keep everyone in the dark until Monday."

Nick O’Reilly and Phil Armstrong of London-based Vantis Business Recovery Services were named as join administrators at B&P, which went into administration following a drop in trade.

The group underwent a management buyout last summer by Andrew Wilson and Lorraine Whitburn, former sales director and managing director of PrintMax respectively.

At the time, O’Reilly closed the company's dispatch centre in Manchester, resulting in the redundancies of six staff.

All other employees remain and dispatch activity is now being carried out at the head office in Chertsey. B&P has sites in Chertsey and Manchester.
