B&P Lightbrigade falls into administration

Administrators are hunting for a buyer for B&P Lightbrigade, the Surrey-based digital printer and supplier following its fall into administration.

NickO’Reilly and Phil Armstrong of London-based Vantis Business Recovery Services were called in as joint administrators this week following a drop in trade at the company.

O’Reilly said: "We are continuing to trade the business while we seek a buyer. We have carried out targeted marketing activities and have received enquiries from 15 interested parties. We are now in the process of trying to ensure that the best value offer for the business is achieved.

"Unfortunately, due to cash-flow pressures, we were forced to close the dispatch centre in Manchester, with the redundancies of six staff. All other employees remain and dispatch activity is now being carried out at the Head Office in Chertsey."

The group underwent a MBO last summer by Andrew Wilson and Lorraine Whitburn, former sales director and managing director of PrintMax respectively.

Prior to its administration, B&P had sites in Chertsey and Manchester.

In January 2007, B&P unveiled Webtrack, its workflow and MIS system.
