Bosses snatch Batwatch from administration

The directors of Newcastle-based litho and digital printing firm Batwatch have bought the business and assets of the firm from its administrator.

Administrator KPMG was appointed to Batwatch on 15 July. The business was sold on the same day to a team that included director Neil Coxon, securing all of its 70 jobs in the process.

Batwatch went into administration on 15 July, and KPMG joint administrator Paul Flint said the business had suffered financial difficulties due to increased competition and rising prices. A winding-up petition was issued against the firm on 5 May this year.

The company is now called Bake Print, and according to Companies House, the directors are Neil Coxon and Lionel Whitham, both of whom were directors of Batwatch.

The records also show that Bake Print changed its name from XCX on 7 July.
