Bodoni Pantone prize on offer

Pantones UK agent for its Printer Accreditation Program, Bodoni Systems, is offering one PrintWeek reader the chance to be among the first 20 printers to gain provisional accreditation this October.

The prize, worth 1,995, will give the winner the chance to complete the first part of the accreditation process. To gain full accreditation they will need to spend 750 on an audit of their proofing and printing procedures as the next stage.

Printers seeking to win the prize must be able to send a project leader on a two-day course taking place on the 7-8 September, which was put together by The London College of Communication.

As well as the course they will get a "Bible" of printing best practice and a test job to print, which will be measured to provide the initial provisional accreditation provided they pass.

Bodoni Systems managing director Ian Reid said that printers who signed up for accreditation would hopefully "attract more business and from people who care about quality, who are prepared to pay for it".

To win the prize register via www.pantone.co.uk using the accredited printer program form under the products menu. To show it's via the PrintWeek prize offer enter the initials PW after your company name. The offer closes on Friday, 3 September.
