Bezier makes environmental push with new CSR manager

The Bezier group has appointed Paul Haycock in the role of corporate social responsibility (CSR) manager in a bid to reduce the firm's environmental impact.

In the position, Haycock will be tasked with developing and implementing the group's CSR strategy.

This will include working with local communities and suppliers, while focusing on ways the group can minimise its environmental impact and assist both suppliers and customers to do the same.

In the past, Haycock has worked with clients including Coca-Cola and Britvic as an environmental co-ordinator, which involved improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon footprints for clients.

Haycock said: "Too many CSR policies are lightweight, have little impact on communities and the environment and instead act as a marketing tool.

"It is great to find a company which is so keen to lead its industry in finding ways of making tangible results," he said.

Bezier Group chief executive Mark Shaw said: "We are determined to make real and quantifiable steps to improve our environmental performance."

He added: "By appointing Paul as CSR manager, we have a fantastic opportunity to find scientifically valid ways of really making a difference and reducing our own environmental impact and that of our suppliers and clients."
