Best Digital also bought the manufacturer’s Truepress Jet 2500 UV wide-format printer as part of a €620,000 (£500,000) deal for the two machines.
The machines will be installed at Best Digital’s Hertfordshire-based plant in June as the company aims to reach a £3m turnover in 2013, from its current £1.8m projection for 2012.
Geoff Rawlings, managing director of Best Digital, said: "It is a big investment but will increase the company’s capacity threefold and double the quality of its work.
"We looked at the market, and the speed and quality of the W1632 are right for our budget. We have a two-year plan and think that the W1632 will pay for itself by then before we buy another."
Screen sales manager Peter Bray said: "The W1632 allows the customer to retain high production speeds and quality."
The 2500 machine prints seven layers in one pass using split print-heads. Best Digital bought the machine to increase the quality of its POS displays and reduce production times for two-sided window graphics.
Rawlings said: "The machines offer high speed and use the latest seven picolitre heads that will give us the quality our clients demand. Having faster equipment means we can output more print, create more turnover and compete for bigger contracts."
