The company gains its ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 accredited today, adding to its FSC and PEFC accreditations.
Nigel Harper, managing director of the £8.5m-turnover business, said the company had spotted an opportunity in its envelope manufacturing business to boost its green credentials.
He said: "We got the accreditations because we felt that we had a responsibility, and it has definitely been beneficial.
"We are also the only business in the UK to run no alcohol on its overprinting machines – the latest environmental credentials add to our existing FSC and PEFC credentials."
Kent-based Bespoke Envelopes Direct has worked with the DMA on the launch of PAS 2020 – the direct mail industry's environmental standard.
One client, Bradford Exchange, has recently used its Ecolope recycled envelopes for a responsible mail campaign.
Ecolope can be produced with 100% environmentally friendly materials and the complete production and post-production processes can be monitored.
It is manufactured from 100% post-consumer recycled waste paper and has a corn starch-based window film that is environmentally friendly and fully repulpable.
