Bespoke Envelopes Direct sale completed

The sale of envelope manufacturer Bespoke Envelopes Direct out of administration has finally been completed.

Dartford-based Bespoke Envelopes Direct went into administration with Tenon Recovery on 9 July 2009, immediately trading it under licence to new company Crossways Envelopes.

Tenon has now confirmed that Crossways Envelopes has purchased the company's assets, but added that any further comment would have to come from the company itself.

Several weeks ago (30 November), Crossways director Nigel Harper told PrintWeek that a meeting of managers would be taking place the next day, after which he would be willing to comment on the situation. However, Harper has not been available for comment since that date.

Crossways features Bespoke Envelopes Direct director Gary Butters as director, as well as Harper.

Following its appointment, Tenon whittled down a list of buyers over several months, announcing Crossways Envelopes as the only bidder in September.

However, since then a number of hold-ups slowed down the completion, with the sale of the company confirmed by Tenon this week.
