Benford UV ramps up capacity with site move

UV and IR drying/curing system manufacturer Benford UV has expanded its capacity after moving premises.

As part of the move, both office space and workshop have been expanded, while an additional member of staff has been added, taking the company's number to four.

The Buckinghamshire-based manufacturer produces end-of-the-press UV drying systems that can be retro-fitted onto litho presses, enabling the use of UV inks.

Sales manager Ron Ryan told PrintWeek: "We are expanding rapidly. Our workshop was bursting at the seams, so we can take more on now and work more efficiently.

"UV systems can be quite big, once you take into account cooling systems and blowers; we put the kit together here and then ship them out."

The company has also added a series of solar panels on the new site, as well as using electric vehicles in a bid to improve its environmental performance.
