The move, which the company said it predicts will result in a headcount reduction of around 65 at the 300-strong site, reflects the extremely challenging wider economic circumstances, according to managing director Dave Murray.
He said: BemoroseBooth is a strong company, working closely with our customers to make sure the solutions and services we provide add real value.
To safe guard the long-term success of the business we must make sure we are structured accordingly and operate in a streamlined and efficient manner. This is the strategy behind the decision.
The company said it was working closely with the union representatives to achieve the best outcome possible for all concerned.
BemroseBooth’s two other sites at Hull and Teesside are unaffected by the move.
The company was sold last year to US private equity house American Industrial Acquisition Corporation (AIAC) following a protracted sale process by former parent Appleton.
