Former owner, US-based Appleton previously announced it intended to explore the sale of BemroseBooth in January 2008.
Jake Rudham, marketing manager at BemroseBooth, added that the business will grow through the acquisition
"AIAC see potential in BemroseBooth, which is why they've invested," he said.
The fate of the company’s 600 strong UK workforce remains unclear with Rudham saying that it is business as usual but confirmed that strategic plans are being put into place.
Tony Burke, assistant general secretary at Unite, said: "There's always concern when a private equity company takes over a well-known company such as BemroseBooth.
We will be seeking meetings with BemroseBooth to discuss this matter further with them."
The company has sites in Derby, Hull and Teesside. In its most recent accounts, for 2006, it posted a turnover of £61.9m and a pre-tax loss of £696,000.
