The company, which has previously stressed its intention to continue security printing in Derby, is in the process of securing a new, "more suitable site".
Jean-Paul Ansel, managing director of BemroseBooth, said: "Wayzgoose Drive has served us well over the years but, looking forward, it does not provide the facilities we need.
"The infrastructure is inflexible and the site is far larger than we require and so it is preventing us from developing the business. Our goal is to retain modern manufacturing facilities in Derby and we believe our current negotiations will conclude favourably."
The sale of BemroseBooth's 7.9 acre Derby facility marks another step in the company's reinvention and comes at the end of a hectic year in which it has made around 100 staff redundant, replaced its managing director and relocated its Promotional Products division.
