The Leicester firm moved into digital printing last year with Xerox DocuColor 12 and 3535 printers, but waited to look at finishing for the department until this year's Northprint, where it bought the hand-fed machine from the Ashgate Automation stand.
Peter Millrain, Beaumanor managing director, said: "We soon realised that a digital card creaser was essential because digitally printed material has a tendency to crack when it is folded.
"We saw no point in paying more for a highly automated model because most of our jobs are very short run, up to 500 sheets," he added.
