In order to achieve certification, the trade association has invested in reducing the environmental impact of the event. It will offset emissions by planting trees in Tinners Forest, Cornwall.
BAPC chairman Sidney Bobb said: “This year, our conference is taking the lead and we’ve been working with co2balance to reduce the impact of the event and offset unavoidable emissions.
“With so many schemes to choose from, it’s important to find one that will accurately measure your CO2 emissions and determine how to reduce and offset them through ethical and credible projects.”
The event will be held on 2 November at the Crowne Plaza in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. Speakers include Canon UK managing director Andy Vickers, Heidelberg UK managing director George Clarke and Kodak GCG UK director Dave Wigfield.
