BAPC 2007 conference to attract print greats

The print industrys finest are to meet for the British Association for Print and Communications (BAPC) annual conference, to be held in November.

Leading industry speakers at the conference in Buckinghamshire will include Kodak GCG UK director Dave Wigfield, Heidelberg UK managing director George Clarke and Canon UK managing director Andy Vickers.

What the future holds for the industry is the key agenda at the conference. Futurolo-gist James Bellini will address delegates, as well as a host of heavyweight speakers.

BAPC chairman Sidney Bobb said: “Better education, better business sense, as well as a chance to meet and network with peers and suppliers alike are some of the benefits of the conference.

“James Bellini will use his crystal ball to look into the future and give a speech on some of the issues that the industry will be facing.”

The event will also play host to the 2007 BAPC Awards. Dave Brooks, chairman of last year’s Business of the Year, Zap Digital, is to return to this year’s conference to talk about his experiences of running a successful print firm.

Bobb added that further issues at the conference would include improving profitability and teaching entrepreneurial skills.

“The audience will also have the chance to question and debate some of the issues facing the industry,” he said.

Confirmed sponsors include Mitsubishi, J&G Environmental, Apex Digital Graphics and Canon.
