The Azon UV Jet 1600FB can print up to resolutions of 600x1,200dpi and features 12 Xaar 126 300dpi printheads, which incorporate piezoelectric drop-on-demand technology.

The UV press can print on rigid and roll-to-roll substrates up to thicknesses of 25.4mm and at a maximum print width of 1630mm.

The six-colour digital press can also print on rigid and roll-to-roll substrates, such as vinyls, foam and fabrics, which eliminates the need for mounting or laminating.

Ida Litovic, sales and marketing director at Azonprinter told printweek.com that the press will be the "most economic in its class in the UK once a distributor is secured".

The Azon UV Jet 16000FB press retails for £21,500 (EUR 28,500).
