Asda rolls out Valentine theme POS

Asda has overhauled its aisles with a Valentine makeover as design agency Gratterpalm produced a range of point-of-sale (POS) and packaging materials at the supermarket.

The Leeds-based company took charge of both POS and for the first-time packaging for the campaign, which includes boxes with die-cut detailed windows, film wrap and swing tags.

Bezier printed the PoS elements, which have been rolled out across the 347 Asda stores.

This includes 5,000 hanging signs featuring intricate, interlocking falling hearts, sweet heart-shaped bunting, other gondola end and side stack displays, and 45,000 'wobblers'.

Gordon Bethell, managing partner at Gratterpalm said: "An umbrella approach for Q1/Q2 seasonal events, including Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Easter and Father's Day, has been developed to ensure a design consistency on all packaging and point-of-sale across the series of events."
