According to ArjoWiggins, it is the only uncoated paper that can be used across all the processes.
The firm claimed that Conqueror Multi-technology would eliminate the need to stock multiple papers to cover different production processes, simplifying and reducing printers' stock requirements.
"Multi-technology will be on offer without a price premium, ensuring availability to the entire market," said Conqueror brand manager Sarah Flower.
She said printers would no longer need to hold several stocks on their shelves, providing more flexibility for rush jobs and short runs.
A patent-pending chemical formulation used in manufacturing ensures that the appearance and tactile qualities of the uncoated paper remain the same regardless of printing process.
Multi-technology is an improved version of the Indigo Sheets range and is part of the Conqueror Digital range. It is guaranteed on HP Indigo, NexPress, Xerox DocuColor, laser, ink-jet and offset presses.
The firm said one application could be for printers to run a proof off on a digital press and once approved, switch to litho for the job.
There are four papers in the Conqueror Multi-technology range: CX22, Micro-Laid, Laid and Translucent. Flower said that the new line would be ideal for quick printers, digital imaging bureaux, repro houses and printers with a mix of digital and offset equipment.
"Digital colour applications are one of the few growing sectors within the industry, therefore it's a great time for us to bring this product to market," Flower added.
Multi-technology will be launched in May and will be on show at Drupa. The range is being launched as a result of a combination of customer demand and a desire to enhance the existing product portfolio.
