The new product, called PIPS (Promotional Integrated Packaging Solution), uses patented technology, which the company initially developed for a supermarket.
Bradford-based Alpha Media Solutions, which has a £6.8m turnover, was originally a finishing house but diversified into offering print and packaging services at the end of last year.
PIPS features a printed leaflet which slides into a pocket on the inside of the packaging, while an adhesive sticker holds it in place on the outside of the packaging.
The company said that the product could reduce promotional costs and add value to open-ended, boxed and sleeve packaging.
Alpha Media Solutions is targeting supermarkets and marketing and advertising agencies that are searching for new ways to bring products to the attention of consumers.
PIPS has already been ordered by a UK supermarket chain.
Alpha’s sales and marketing director Simon Rose said that the company eventually planned to offer the product to overseas businesses.
"It’s a very exciting time for the company as this is a completely new packaging solution using patent-granted technology and we’ve got many partnerships in the pipeline with leading UK companies who are looking to increase the promotional impact of their packaging. We’re looking forward to rolling it out nationally with a view to taking it international in the future."
