The refurbished facility in Leeds now includes two of the manufacturer's latest wide-format printers, the Anapurna M2050i and the Anapurna M3200i RTR.
Inkjet marketing and channel manager Steve Collins said: “The premises are very pleasant, but the showroom looked a bit tired. It showed CTP kit for several years and more recently inkjets.”
The M2050i features hybrid flatbed technology for direct-to-substrate printing on to both rigid and flexible media. The M3200i is designed for industrial roll-to-roll UV printing up to 3.2m in width.
The M2050i costs £117,000 and runs at up to 90sqm/hr and the M3200i costs £125,000 and runs at up to 123sqm/hr. Both systems use the latest Konica Minolta 1024i inkjet heads.
Both machines were launched at the beginning of the year and to date Agfa UK has sold around four of the smaller models and about three of the larger M3200i systems.
Small droplet sizes twinned with the wide colour gamut of the Agfa UV inks allow for a thin layer to offer low ink consumption.
The Anapurna M2050i also comes with white ink, making it suitable for printing on coloured and transparent substrates.
The upgrade included the addition of the Apogee workflow software for commercial litho clients and Asanti for the sign and display market. Visitors can also use web-to-print software package Storefront.
Collins said: “Complete demonstrations involve job creation through to final production on a range of substrates and applications.
“These include textile printing, window graphics, backlit displays, novelty items and even a magnetic wall, giving them an overall feel for what is possible with this technology.”
