NI has ordered 20 violet Polaris platesetters for its Waltham Cross, Knowsley and Glasgow sites, alongside Agfa's Arkitex digital workflow and full facilities management.
The plate supply deal will come as a major blow to Fuji, which currently supplies its Brillia LP-NN plates to the three sites.
Agfa declined to give any further details.
Garnett Dickinson is to beta-test Agfa's ApogeeX series 3 workflow with Delano project management software at its 20m site in Rotherham.

Agfa lands massive NI deal for CTP and plates
Agfa has tightened its grip on the newspaper plate market after sealing a massive deal with News International (NI) to provide plates and kit for its three new print sites.
