Neither company has made a statement to the press, but on Litho Supplies website it states that the acquisition took place on 21 February 2011.
According to the statement it informed Litho Supplies customers of the deal yesterday (23 February). Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
The statement said: "Agfa Graphics has long been a major supplier to Litho Supplies and both parties view this acquisition as a natural fit and a logical progression in their ongoing relationship. This also offers Litho Supplies the opportunity to further grow their business in the UK.
"For our customer it is business as usual, as Litho Supplies will continue to trade as a separate entity from the parent company, and will continue to offer its portfolio of products and systems from a broad range of suppliers. Litho Supplies now moves forward with the secure backing of one the largest suppliers in print."
Litho Supplies went into administration in December 2009, before it was bought out by a new company in early 2010.
