"With Apogee Vibe variable-data printing for the M-Press Tiger, users can now offer new applications to a broader range of market segments," said Agfa Graphics vice president of inkjet Richard Barham.
Users define the variable elements of a job, which are then retrieved from a database or spreadsheet, and merged with the rest of the artwork on the fly.
A preview option allows the user to check the correct elements are in place.
To make the most of the M-Press' 1.6x2.6m sheet size Apogee Vibe supports multiple variable pages on a sheet.
Apogee Vibe was developed for Agfa's Dotrix UV-cured digital web press, and was modified to support the M-Press when a demand from M-Press users for variable data arose.
The price of Apogee Vibe is €30,000 £26,000) .
