3 Dimensional Print gains first level of Green Mark Environmental Award Scheme

Point-of-sale company 3 Dimensional Print has boosted its environmental credentials after it attained level one of the Green Mark Environmental Award Scheme, following its recent FSC accreditation.

In order to have received the award, the Kent-based company has identified waste streams and put appropriate waste contractors in place.

The company has reduced its waste going to landfill by 50% and also increased its recyclable waste by 50%.

Managing director Paul Manning said: The accreditation sends a clear message to both our clients and suppliers that as a company we take environmental issues seriously.

Staff members are fully behind our efforts and we are continuing to look for ways to improve our performance.

Green Mark was developed by the London Environmental Centre, part of the London Metropolitan University.

The certification adds to the FSC accreditation the company achieved in November last year.

Elsewhere, the company has also won the large format litho and screen print category at the McNaughton Review print and design awards. They were held at Gleneagles, Scotland, on the 8 and 9 of March this year.
