Q&A: Clare Davidson, business development director, Direct Link

Clare Davidson is business develop-ment director at marketing firm Direct Link. She has worked in print-related roles for almost 20 years and has two daughters, for whom she claims to be a "permanent taxi service". Her dream bit of kit, an Aston Martin, would probably help in that department.


Why did you get into printing?

My first sales role was at a binder manufacturer; I was heavily involved with the printed material for a project with Prudential and my interest really started there

To head the NSPCC

An Aston Martin DB9

The Shawshank Redemption

What is your favourite TV programme?
The Catherine Tate Show or Dragons’ Den

Who or what do you hate the most?
Poor print managers

What’s your greatest fear?
Anything that looks like a mouse

Katie Price – she’s everywhere and I find her annoying

It’s not all about the price

On a beach in Mauritius

As a great mum. The rest is really not that important, in the grand scheme of things
