The Barnsley wide-format printer, which specialises in the production of display graphics, posters and event posters, has been carrying out work on its recently-installed Epson Stylus Pro 11880.
Despite only employing two staff at present, the digital printer has a client base that includes 16 shopping centres across the UK producing all of their display and event print requirements.
Vivid Display has been printing both interior and exterior work as well as floor and window vinyls on the 11880 wide-format machine, which it bought through Fastek Graphic Services in Leeds.
Other customers include design agencies and a number of multinationals requiring point-of-sale materials.
According to Peter Wyatt, managing director at Vivid Display, the choice to invest in the Epson machine came from a desire to be "in the quality end of the market, not the cheap end of it."
He added the device couples the "highest levels of quality and colour along with a fast and reliable service". The company also operates a range of finishing equipment.
Following a successful opening period in which the Epson has been running close to capacity, Vivid Display's managing director has earmarked two new digital printers and a doubling of its employee headcount in the coming months.
"Business has been brisk from the very beginning. Having worked extensively in this sector, I could see that there was a ready-made market with ready-made customers," said Wyatt.
"We plan to double the size of the business in the next year. We have already exceeded our expectations for this year and could expand now, but we want to wait until we have completed one financial year," he added.
The company's 64" Epson can print at speeds up to 35sqm an hour with a maximum substrate width of 123cm. It can output at a resolution of 2,880x1,440dpi and uses Epson's UltraChrome K3 ink with Vivid Magenta.
