The Xerox/Epson Stylus Pro 7880 and 9880 are designed for indoor graphics applications, such as proofing and point-of-sale material.
The 7880 model has a 24-inch width with an eight-colour ink set, while the 9880 provides the same ink range with a 44-inch width.
The printheads employ Epson's Micro Piezo technology, which controls the amount and accuracy of ink delivered to the substrate.
Each colour in the set has a double nozzle to give faster throughput and print speed. Its Variable-sized Droplet Technology automatically adjusts the size of the ink droplet depending on the image content.
In addition, both presses use Epson's UltraChrome K3 Ink with Vivid Magenta, which uses high-density pigments to create a vibrant colour as well as maintaining colour accuracy and stability.
Frederic Maupoume, wide-format marketing manager of Xerox UK, called the presses "strong evidence of our continuing commitment to grow our wide-format range in areas requested by our customers".
Both printers are available to order now. The Stylus Pro 7880 retails for £4,500, while the 9880 costs £6,800.
