The company is aiming the new ink lines at customers operating machines from Epson, Mimaki, Mutoh and Roland DG.
They are claimed to help improve wide-format printing performance of such models by offering stronger adhesion on a broad range of substrates.
The range includes solvent inks designed for use in Mimaki's JV3, JV33 and JV5 printers, which offer strong outdoor durability and fast drying times, acording to Van Son. Its Eco Solvent range don't emit VOCs, eliminating the need for forced ventilation, and are said to offer better adhesion on substrates including PVC and vinyl.
Included in the range are pigment and dye inks created for Epson piezo head printers that offer intense colour with a wide colour gamut and enhanced fade resistance, according to Van Son.
In addition, the company is offering dye sublimination inks for direct printing on fabrics without the need for intermediary heat transfer paper.
According to Joseph Bendowski, chief executive of Van Son, the wide format inks "will increase pressroom efficiencies as well as provide an answer to environmental concerns".
The company will showcase the new ink line at Graph Expo 2011, which takes place at McCormick Place in Chicago on 11-14 September.
