UK Mail won the contract with its imail hybrid delivery service, launched in 2008, which allows customers to electronically transmit mail items to a national network of mail centres where the mail is then printed, enveloped and posted for next day delivery.

The contract, which was awarded following an open tender run by Government Procurement Services, covers the four Primary Care Trusts (PCT) in the county, which work with over 500 local NHS partners and are responsible for investing in healthcare services for the local community.

We've continuously worked to develop the service further, transforming the way thousands of businesses and now local authorities are sending mail."

Under the terms of the two year agreement, imail will be responsible for the printing, proofing and posting of letters, as well as the insertion of screening leaflets and any other forms of communications from Hampshire & Isle of Wight PPSA amounting to approximately 500,000 pieces of correspondence each year.
