New for Northprint will be Accura’s version 4.5 MIS, which comes with more than 50 enhancements. Also featured will be a new version of its AccuraOnline ecommerce web solution that links with the MIS back end. This off-the-shelf package gives printers an ecommerce website within 48 hours and has more than 20 site styles to choose from. Accura will be running individual presentations and complete fully-installed systems start from just £40 per week.

Pdfworkflow.co.uk will be demonstrating Hermstedt StingRay, of which version 3.0 was launched last month. The new Enfocus Switch 10 range will make its UK debut alongside the Enfocus PitStop Server and a range of Alwan products.

As a Microsoft Gold Partner, Crimsonwing has exclusivity for implementing the Microsoft Dynamics NAV certified add-on PrintVis, which can be viewed on stand A320. The MIS provider also offers ecommerce and is able to integrate a variety of different technologies as part of its service.
EFI UK M242
EFI will be highlighting JDF integration with its range of Fiery digital print controllers and full MIS suite. The company will also be demonstrating EFI Monarch for multi-site print companies, browser-based EFI Pace for mid-sized commercial and large-format printers, and EFI Radius software for packaging companies.
Imprint Business Systems M316
Imprint will be trying to win over visitors with its fully integrated Evolution MIS, which offers everything from CRM, estimating, job bags and scheduling to stock management, warehousing, purchasing and print management. Visitors can also check out eXpert, Imprint’s latest automated online estimating software, which is said to require minimal estimating knowledge to use.
OneVision Software (UK) M302
OneVision will present Amendo, the latest version of its image enhancement tool. The new version will come with Amendo Perfect Skin, which is said to use brand-new face-detection techniques reliably to recognise faces, analyse skin tones and execute any required corrections to achieve the ‘perfect skin’.
Pantone LLC C306
X-Rite subsidiary Pantone will be showing the development of a number of colour-management tools, including the Capsure device, which will be available at Northprint. Meanwhile, the Pantone Plus range will be on display and available to buy.

The MIS provider says Northprint is a great opportunity not only to showcase W2P but to share how the company can work with customers to help them increase revenues, fill capacity and save costs.

Sanderson is showing Unity MIS, which it says is the ideal software for printers who provide complex products or ‘value added’ services. The company will highlight how the system’s reporting services give a "dynamic approach for fast-moving businesses".

Sefas Innovation offers a suite of document-composition, post-composition and production-control tools to design, improve, control and manage the production of personalised documents. Products such as Open Print Software Suite, used for design, composition and the production of business-to-consumer (B2C) documents, will be on show.

MIS supplier Shuttleworth will be working in partnership with ROI360 and Kodak to show the latest integration with ROI360’s W2P product plus JDF/JMF links with Kodak Prinergy digital workflow. Designed to maximise opportunities with customers and prospects alike, the MIS package also includes the new Estimating Wizard, which simplifies and speeds up estimating and the new ‘Supply Chain Management’ software, a web-based tool designed to enable manufacturers to quickly get prices back from their suppliers.

Tharstern will be at the event to talk to potential customers about its range of MIS options that cater for a wide range of print set-ups.

VeriVide specialises in the design, development and manufacture of lighting for the visual assessment of colour and appearance, plus lighting cabinets to ISO 3664 standards to meet the terms within ISO 12647.
PRESSES
Hybrid Services A252
Hybrid Services will be demonstrating two machines in the Mimaki range of inkjet printers and cutting equipment. On display is the UJF-3042 – an A3 flatbed LED UV printer – and the CJV30 series of integrated printer/cutters. In addition to their main stand, Hybrid will also have a presence in the Wide Format Application Showcase, which will display everything from core products such as banner stands and posters, through to short-run promotional products, high-profit photo-blocks and branded phone covers.
Konica Minolta UK C212
Konica is promising visitors an experience in ‘augmented reality’, with a virtual tour of Harrogate. Exhibiting in the Print-for-Profit Zone, the company will demonstrate innovations in substrates, colour and even smell, and will transport visitors to experience the town’s well-known Betty’s Tea Room. The digital press maker will demonstrate the new Bizhub Press series, which includes the Bizhub Press C6000 and the Bizhub Press C8000 (KM148). For mono digital output, KM is showing the Bizhub PRO 1200 at the show.
Labels-U-Print (KTEC Group) C244
Labels-U-Print will be running a live demonstration of the new Primera CX1200e and FX1200e digital label roll-making machines.
The supplier says the machines are ideal for short runs of full-colour labels on rolls in almost any sizes and shapes.
The CX1200e uses low-cost rolls of self-adhesive papers and most synthetic label media, while the intended companion FX1200e digital finisher digitally cut rolls of labels, so no tooling is needed.
Manroland GB B212
Visit stand B212 and Manroland promises to tell all about the secrets of profitable print. There will be video demonstrations and updates on the manufacturer’s latest presses – the Roland 200H LV, Roland HiPrint HS and the Roland XXL perfector – as well as information on automation, intelligent colour and quality management, waste reduction and the company’s new eco-meter and investment calculator.
Value-added printing enhancements including glasses-free 3D, cold foiling and embossing will be on display, and Manroland will also highlight the benefits of its new future-proof package, which aims to protect printers’ ROI by providing technology options that can be retrofitted to a press when demand calls for it.
Murodigital/Zerographic (Xerox) A260
A subsidiary of Zerographic Systems, Murodigital is one of the UK’s largest Xerox resellers. At Northprint, it will be displaying the new Xerox 1000 full-colour production digital press together with the new Plockmatic 1000s and 200e off-line bookletmakers. In addition to these, Murodigital will be launching the all-new Powis Fastback 20 binder.
Presstek M219
Centre of attention at the Presstek stand will be the 34DI four-colour digital offset press, which can print up to 14,000 A4 sheets at 300lpi on a full range of offset stocks.
Visitors may also take an interest in the Vector FL52, a small-format chemistry-free metal platesetter, also being demonstrated at the show. Presstek’s full suite of thermal printing plates, from chemistry-free to conventional, will also be on display.
Ricoh UK A100, A200, A304
Ricoh has the responsibility of printing the Northprint Daily and, with the help of its flagship Pro C901 Graphic Arts Edition digital colour press – the first machine to form part of its recently announced partnership with Heidelberg – it is sure to relish the task. Also on the Ricoh stand will be the Pro1357 and Pro1357EX mono production presses, the Ricoh AficioMP W2401 mono and Stylus Pro 9700 colour large-format printers, and Ricoh’s NowPrint Software as a Service (SaaS) web-to-print software. Colour management product Ready4Print ColourServer, along with its managed document output solution Barr Enterprise Output Manager (EOM), is sure to turn heads as well.

Roland DG is marking its 30th anniversary this year and will celebrate at Northprint by showcasing its range of production options, while running advice sessions on all matters concerned with digital printing.

This equipment and machinery broker will be offering advice on how to ensure that you get the best, tailor-made solutions when it comes to buying and selling both new and used equipment.
Videojet Technologies M312
Videojet Technologies offers a wide range of products that can do basic addressing of mail items or more intricate printing of detailed images and logos. The company will be showcasing its 4320 Inkjet Addressing & Imaging System, which incorporates HP inkjet cartridges with no maintenance requirements.
POST-PRESS
ACCO Brands/GBC C304
Binding and lamination manufacturer GBC will be exhibiting its 620os single-sided laminator at Northprint. The 620os has a new automatic feeder, which will run GBC’s Octiva digital lay-flat film. Validated to work with all the major digital presses, GBC says Octiva is ideal for preventing damage and curl when laminating on-demand book covers and jackets. Also featured will be the new single-sided Catena 65 laminator, an entry-level single-sided laminator, and a line of desktop punch-and-bind equipment.
Blockfoil A248
Hot foiling and embossing specialist Blockfoil is exhibiting a number of security products and a full range of holographic and scratch-off foil images. Brands include Securigrafix (as licensed by the Bank of England for the £50 note), Datafoil and Photografix. Blockfoil will be showing a number of applications for the products, which it says can help printers win more work at premium prices. Dies Direct, part of the Blockfoil Group, will be sharing the stand. It manufactures more than 15,000 brass, copper and magnesium dies every year.
Clinical Print Finishers A300
Clinical Print Finishers will be promoting its Outsert folded leaflet, used by pharmaceutical packaging companies for high-speed automated packing. Also on show will be PakaMap, a 100% recyclable waterproof tear-resistant pocket guide, and examples of stitched-booklet production. Clini-Counter, which makes leaflet batch counters, will also have a presence on the stand.
D&K Europe C240
Making its UK debut on the D&K Europe stand is an automated entry-level Europa laminator in B2 format. The Europa had its first showing at Ipex as a B3 prototype, but the company was encouraged by potential customers and distributors alike to make a B2 version. Also on show will be the Jupiter DS, a compact one-/two-sided B2 laminator. The DS will be shown fitted with an optional stacker delivery system that can improve productivity on longer runs. Also on the stand is its entry-level MiniKote desktop encapsulator, which is ideal for multiuser locations and most short-run applications.
Duplo International A104
Pride of place on the Duplo stand is the Duetto Bookletmaker, which is targeted at the hybrid digital-litho print environment. The Duetto combines a front-end sheet feeder (for digital stock) with collator towers (for litho stock) all in one line. With tool-less job changeovers of less than 30 seconds and a top speed of up to 5,000 books per hour, Duplo says the Duetto can improve job turnaround times. The company will also be showing its flagship digital finishing product, the DC-645e, on the Vivid stand (M232), plus an array of digital finishing kit on the Ricoh stand.
Duraweld M240
Duraweld is promoting its ‘build your own’ online service to show printers how specially made materials can make stationery look more professional and last longer. The Scarborough-based company produces folders, ring binders, dividers, organisers, boxes, conference packs, wallets and retail packaging for a wide range of clients and offers a large selection of environmentally friendly product options.
Encore A310
Having just taken on distributorship for Newbind, Encore will be showcasing the manufacturer’s closed tank PUR binders. The machines will be marketed alongside its JUD binders, which Encore already distributes. A Kisun UV coater and PitStop Creaser will also be on show.
Honle UV B308
Danish manufacturer Hönle Group will be showing a wide range of accelerated curing and drying systems for almost every printing application. Eltosch, part of the Hönle Group, specialises in high-performance UV and UV-inerted systems, while PrintConcept offers UV curing systems for web offset printing.
Inspectron A310
Inspectron is a specialist in document verification and the track-and-trace marketplace. Visit stand A310 to see a comprehensive range of integrity systems for print, inserting, finishing and fulfilment, e-passport, bookmaking and RFID tracking. Inspectron says its systems are designed to work on individual production equipment through to multiple devices.
Intelligent Finishing Systems B220
IFS is in for a busy Northprint. As well as hosting a number of live demonstrations for three of its leading Horizon systems, the finishing supplier will be playing a major part in the production of the Northprint Daily, where printed sheets will be delivered to its stand overnight.
There, a Horizon StitchLiner 5500 will collate, plough-fold, saddlestitch and three-knife trim the 12pp paper ready for distribution around the show.
In addition to the StitchLiner, visitors to the stand will also get a chance to see live runnings of the Horizon AFC-566F fully automated B2 folder, and Horizon-BQ-270, claimed to be the UK’s top-selling automated single-clamp binder. Visitors will also have the opportunity to see the automated Horizon BQ-470 four-clamp perfect binder, which has interchangeable EVA and PUR glue tanks and run-of-one software options. IFS is also the UK distributor for Komfi, Italdibipack and Dürselen.
Profoil A248
Foiling and embossing specialist Profoil will be promoting a host of consumables at the show, from dies and foils to suckers, die cleaning brushes and makeready items such as die fixing toggle hooks and bunter posts. Profoil’s online shop sells the in-house designed and manufactured Foil Optimiser, a very simple upgrade unit for all Heidleberg GTP/T foiling machines, which it says gives supreme control over the foil pulls.
Renz UK A256
Using its latest punching and binding machines, Renz will be producing wire-bound books, tent cards and calendars in both short- and long-run work. Machines at the show include the DTP 340 A, semi-automatic modular desktop high-speed punch, the AP 360, a high-speed floor-standing auto punching system, and the AB500 HS high speed binder, which automatically flips the back cover after the binding process and also spins every second book 180 degrees for easy stacking. In addition, Renz will be showing a new web portal that allows anybody, of any skill level, to personalise an individual one-off document presentation cover or to create the whole company’s range of bespoke binding covers.

Security Foiling will be demonstrating its range of document security solutions, centred on foil and hologram products that are currently used to secure documents in more than 60 countries.
Tech-ni-Fold C312
Tech-ni-Fold will use Northprint to introduce its new digital finishing division, CreaseStream. The CreaseStream concept is based on a unique way of adapting the proven matrix method of creasing in a rotary fashion, meaning that output speed reaches 20,000 copies per hour. A number of products from this new stable will be on show, including the CreaseStream Plus, a fully automatic creasing, micro-perforating and cutting unit.

Finishing specialist Terry Cooper Services will be showcasing the very latest in digital print finishing technology at Northprint, in particular the flexibility and productivity benefits that near-line and on-line digital solutions can provide. The stand will house a range of equipment such as automated perfect binders and sheet feeders from CP Bourg, trimmers and guillotines from Challenge Machinery and CCM Premier guillotines. TCSs aim to use its product knowledge and industry expertise of more than 30 years to highlight the productivity of these products.

Launching at Northprint will be the Manual CaseMaker 650M, which works alongside the company’s Manual Crimper, and The Foil Xpress. The Manual CaseMaker is aimed at those wanting to create fully bespoke variable-data singular books in-house. Northprint will also see the launch of the new Foil Xpress machine, which foils directly on to any flat surface, via a USB port from a computer.

Vivid is a UK-based designer and manufacturer of laminating systems, ranging from desktop pouch laminators to wide-format systems designed for a print-shop environment.

The company will be revealing its print finishing technology for offset litho and digital print applications in the graphic arts, inplant and general commercial printing marketplace. On show at Northprint will be a range of products, including the Nearline Watkiss PowerSquare Finishing System, a high-speed near-line bookletmaking solution for digital printers.
Also demonstrated will be the Lamibind 420, a semi-automatic perfect binder that Watkiss says is suited to medium-run applications, and is now available with a PUR option.

Humidity Solutions M300
Humidity Solutions will be showing a range of humidification and water-treatment equipment specifically designed for the print industry. This will include compact steam humidifiers designed to prevent static and paper curl in digital and platemaking rooms, as well as the high-pressure water technology required by litho and web press halls, which demand humidity control and low-energy cooling, sometimes with a temperature drop of as much as 13ºC.
Mondi Uncoated Fine Paper UK A308
Mondi will be an official partner in the printing of the Northprint Daily, while showcasing a new range of digital papers at the show. Color Copy indigo and DNS indigo both have HP’s three-star certification, the highest performance rating for HP Indigo digital presses and best performance in terms of running, fixing and blanket compatibility. Key features include 100% ElectroInk adhesion and an unlimited shelf life due to the special primer applied during the paper production process. The paper manufacturer’s Nautilus range, with a wider selection of recycled grades, will also be prominent at the show. Meanwhile, Color Copy, Mondi’s premium digital colour laser paper is now a carbon-neutral product.
