Technology needs to be pertinent to customer

UDM is delighted to have sparked a debate on the merits of technology in relation to print management.

The article, ‘UDM wins three-year hotel deal’, highlighted our web-based print management software as a key reason for our appointment to manage the print for Thistle Hotels and Guoman Hotels.

While this feature may have provided some software manufacturers with the opportunity to headline their products in print, we believe that our selection was based on how we tailor our print management solutions (of which technology is part) to match client requirements. Applied technology must be pertinent to customer needs and catalytic to efficient account management, otherwise it is merely an albatross to both parties.

UDM is recognised within the industry as early adopters of technological improvements, and our investment has allowed us to be leaders in our field. However, our strength is firmly grounded in the complete print management offering, which encompasses the delivery of effective print procurement, project management, warehousing and logistics management, supply chain consultancy and e-enabled technology.
