The 17in servo-driven machine will enable the 120-staff company to produce a minimum of 25m metres each year.
Gwyn Bouch, managing director at Systems Labelling, said the investment will allow the company to meet demand while growing the business.
He said: "From a product development perspective we will also be able to run thinner gauge materials with PET liner adding value for our customers by driving down packaging weight and offering a recyclable alternative to traditional glassine liners."
Systems Labelling has a turnover of more than £15m with three production facilities in Deeside, Runcorn and Essex.
Dave Acott, quality and technical director at the company, said the additional capacity coupled with a new inline die-cutting facility would "provide choice and flexibility for our customers whilst developing the skill base of our production staff".
