The event in Bristol on Thursday 5 December will form a stage for architectural and decorative applications and illuminated signs as well as car and truck graphics.Experts will demonstrate products, machines and applications for up to 120 people who are expected to attend.
Spandex UK and European marketing manager Gabi Pusterla Parish said: “Traditionally a lot of small sign makers have come along to these kind of events but because we have bigger printers and ranges of materials, larger commercial printers tend to come along.
“Vehicle wraps is a big market that's getting bigger. Today's films have amazing colour and finishes and they mould around cars really well,” she said of the course, which also includes seminars on marketing and selling vehicle wraps and a 3M technical clinic for questions and answer sessions.
Ranges include EnvisionT environmentally sustainable wrap, wall and signage films as well as high-performance vehicle wrapping and decorative window films such as the 3M Fasara and new Dichroic films with semi-reflective qualities and pink and bluish tints.
Demonstrations from Epson, Roland, Mutoh, SwissQprint and Rollsroller will take place throughout the day. A new flat-pack version of the Rollsroller machine, which prints 80sm per hour, will be shown off and is targeted at printshops where space is tight.
A further carrot for visitors is a 50%-off deal on 3M two-day vehicle wrap training course, with a full cost of £350.
