Seriously Responsible Print goes into administration

Commercial printer Seriously Responsible Print has gone into administration with CMB Partners.

Nickolas Rimes, of the insolvency practitioner, was appointed to the Norfolk-based company on 6 July, but was unavailable to comment at the time of writing.

Christine Norton, managing director of Seriously Responsible Print, said: "The company has gone into administration for a number of reasons, one of which was because of a tight cashflow.

"It is desperately sad. There is another printer that is supposedly negotiating to buy the brand, etc, out of administration."

Seriously Responsible Print launched in June 2008 and promised to operate in an environmentally friendly way.

It was run by a husband and wife team and printed brochures, booklets, flyers, newsletters and business stationery.

Some 10% of its profits were donated to charities. In 2009, the company had plans to help out on projects in its local area, including education and homelessness.

In October last year, the company said it had increased turnover by 60% to £180,000 in its second year of trading after implementing a series of environmental initiatives including ISO 14001.

Its clients included the NHS Sustainability Unit and the University of East Anglia.
