The Hull-based company bought its first 6000 in October last year to run alongside two HP 4500s.
The firm said business had boomed on the back of the investment and it has taken the decision to replace a 4500 with a second 6000, which it signed for on the opening day of Ipex (18 May) on HP's stand (2/AB150).
Springfield Solutions managing director Ian Lemon, chairman Albert Dass and production manager Steve Nix were on stand to agree the deal with HP sales specialist Nikki Peacock and strategic marketing manager Raymond Dickinson.
Lemon said: "Once we bolted the first 6000 to the floor last October and saw it running alongside a 4500, we saw the difference in what the machines can achieve. The HP was fantastic in its time but we recognise we can't afford to stand still. We need to run as fast as HP does."
Springfield Solutions has been growing at "a rate of knots" according to Lemon, which has resulted in the company needing to constantly upgrade its capabilities.
The machines have allowed it to look at further growth. "There are new markets, new interesting places that we can grow," he said.
