Robert Horne's revive 50:50 silk paper used for Heroes book

Robert Horne's revive 50:50 silk paper has been used to create Heroes, a book that documents the everyday life of troops in Afghanistan.

The books were printed by Steidl, based in Gottingen, Germany, and produced on the paper grade which is a 50% recycled paper that has high whiteness and quality finish.

Heroes has been created by photographer David Bailey and Dylan Jones, editor of GQ magazine, and all proceeds from the book sales will go to the Help for Heroes charity.

Philippa Charlton, marketing director at Robert Horne, said: "Robert Horne was approached by Thames and Hudson publishers with a request to donate paper for the book and to join the printer and pre-press house which donated their services for free.

"We selected revive 50:50 for the project because not only would it produce a sharp and tactile book, it also has exceptional environmental credentials which is very important to us as a company."
