Jon Bailey sales director of PrintWeek's 2010 Company of the Year ProCo will discuss how the old ways of selling print are dead and detail how, through the implementation of a fresh approach, the company changed the way it interacted with clients and refocused on winning profitable work rather than just volume.
Tony Jones will talk about how he set about re-inventing sheetfed magazine printer Pensord through staff re-engagement, effective cost management and a sustainable investment strategy to create a thriving business that, after seven years, he sold to an MBO team on the back of a record-breaking six months in terms of sales, profits and cash generation.
Finally, Andrew Scrimgeour, managing director of AJS Labels, will cover how he used a back-to-basics approach, focused on ‘small change, big difference’, to drive the loss-making label company he led an MBO at in 2009 back into profit within 12 months. Ultimately securing the title of Company of the Year at this summer’s BPIF Excellence Awards.
This free, afternoon event, supported by Fuji, is only open to directors of UK print firms and is being held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London on Monday 24 October, from 1.15pm to 4pm.
The three presentations will be followed by a Q&A session where delegates will not only have the opportunity to ask questions, but also share their own insights in an informal discussion environment.
