Former production manager Evans and former pre-press manager Harburn will run the business alongside chairman Mike Challands.
Challands and Shutt took over the company in 1979, with Shutt taking on the role of finance director and Challands becoming sales director.
Shutt said: "Back in 1979 Don and Ken Mawer gave Mike and I the opportunity to take over the company upon their retirement and it pleases me that I can now give the two Phils the same start we had.
"With Mike in the chairman’s role to guide them, MTPrint has a solid future in front of it."
MTPrint works with a diverse range of local and national clients such as Bannatyne’s Health Clubs and Spas, Sodexo, The Scottish Parliament, The Society of Maritime Industries and North Yorkshire Police.
The company, which increased its turnover by around 8% last year, has invested almost £1m in equipment over the past few years and installed a new Heidelberg press two years ago and a Ricoh digital printer last year.
Last year it took on two additional members of staff for its design studio and press hall.
Challands said: "Stuart and I have worked together for almost 40 years and I have enjoyed the time we have spent growing MTPrint and expanding its client base."
He added that the company had been seeing increasing demand for direct mail fulfilment from a range of clients including garages, solicitors, dealerships and health clubs.
