The two-day show, which will be held at Birmingham’s NEC on 25 and 26 February, will focus on the latest trends and innovations in packaging materials, designs and concepts, with dedicated Ecopack and Contract Pack areas.
Companies launching new products at the exhibition include Future Pak, which will launch its ‘Hot Fill Pet’ for Thermoforming, which enables material to be filled with liquid or solids of up to 95°C. This product can be used for jams, candles, soaps and medical purposes.
Seufert Transparente will unveil its new PET promotional packaging with light effects for the drinks market. This combines packaging made of a coloured, transparent PET film together with an LED module. When the packaging is picked up, approximately 80 light-points light up in a pre-set sequence of red, white and yellow.
Seufert Transparente sales and marketing director Thomas Pfaff said: “For our company, Packaging Innovations is the must-attend event in order to meet new customers. We are guaranteed to meet brand managers, marketing specialists and packaging consultants looking for inspiring new ideas in packaging, making it the perfect environment to network.”
Dieter Bakic will showcase its new packaging, The Laurie bottle, with its Unity cap design, as well as Mimosa, a make-up compact where the base and the lid are divided by a wavy curve that interweaves both parts.
Measom Freer will launch its Swithland bottle range of distinctive plastic bottles which are conical and cylindrical in shape and available in a range of materials, sizes and colours.
Measom Freer marketing director Anne Freer said: “We have been exhibiting at Packaging Innovations for many years and have always found it a great platform to launch new products; it’s professional, well publicised with a good variety of quality visitors.”
Promens will be launching its Prestige Wooden Caps, which aim to enhance brand identity and positioning in the luxury beauty sector.
Packaging Innovations will also host an array of show floor content including the launch of three new features; The Drinks Symposium, The Pharmaceutical Symposium and The Retail Symposium. The Big Print Debate and Lions’ Lair will be returning, along with a full learnShops programme, which will address industry trends and issues.
Alison Church, event director for show organiser Easyfairs’ UK packaging events, said: “It’s amazing to think this coming February’s edition of the Packaging Innovations will be our 10th show. Since opening its doors in 2006, the show has tripled in size with over 350 exhibitors.
“It has become the key calendar event for the packaging industry. All different types of companies that supply into the packaging industry are here, and if you really want to know what’s going on in the industry, you need to be here.”
Major companies from countries including Germany, Austria, Poland, Italy, France and The Netherlands have also signed up for the show, including Gmund, Sabert Europe Corporation, Stölzle-Oberglas, Schur Star Systems and Weidenhammer Packaging Group.
