The company said it will "demonstrate the possibilities of digital book publishing" at the event, where it will produce a fully finished full-colour book live.
Entitled Where's my birthday cake?, the book will take content from a photographic blog created by photographer Jason Lee, who will be on stand to sign copies of the final product, which will be printed on an Océ CS665 Pro colour press.
Océ will also be pushing the customised newspaper concept at its stand, producing newspapers that draw variable content from multiple sources.
"As newspaper publishers wrestle with rising costs, changing expectations and a tough economy, Océ can help them adopt a new business model based on individualised, targeted and short-run newspapers," the company said.
It added that it was aiming to demonstrate to visitors how they could "explore and interact" with applications and learn how they could be deployed in their businesses to improve competitiveness and expand their customer base.
Mal Baboyian, president of production printing systems division, Océ North America, said: "The Océ theme for Print 09, ‘The Power of Color, The Speed of Business’, is especially relevant for graphic arts professionals.
"Océ solutions help create opportunities for print providers to drive more revenue, increase productivity and reduce their costs."
