The Hammersmith, West London-based business opted for the digital offset press to improve the print quality and cut turnaround times at the three-staff company.
Morris said: "We had two convergent issues that drove this purchase during one of the worst recessions since the 1920s.
"Our 12-year-old platemaker was on its last legs, and our four-colour press, also a dozen years old, no longer meet today’s quality requirements."
According to Morris, the Presstek investment has also allowed the commercial printer to keep a far greater level of work in-house and increase the margins it makes on its jobs.
He said: "Seven years ago we could charge £400 for a four-colour job we now charge £200 for.
"We've not changed our turnover but profit margins are up. The quality is unsurpassed and the whole machine has rejuvenated me and the team."
Its Presstek 34DI runs alongside kit that includes a newly-installed Konica Minolta, and an Epson Stylus Pro, and produces work such as commercial stationery, business cards and brochures.
Morris also praised Presstek's installation of the machine, which involved a large crane to lift the press into the building.
"It was quite an operation, and Presstek did an outstanding job of coordinating the event."
"With its on-press platemaking and small footprint, this highly automated, very high quality DI press is perfect for our needs," he added.
