Nalco announces price increase for paper industry

Sustainability services company Nalco has announce a price increase of between 5-15% for its environmental programmes that service the paper industry across the globe.

The company, which helps paper manufacturers sustainably manage their water, energy and air usage, said the increases will be effective as of 1 January 2011.

A spokesman for the company the price increase is driven by increased energy and raw material costs.

He said: "There has been a tightening of the availability of some raw materials and rising freight costs.

"Nalco's paper services account managers will contact individual customers to discuss these increases."

Nalco provides sustainability services to papermakers around the world, and it helps customers reduce their energy, water and other natural resource consumption to minimise CO2 emissions.
