Arco Paper and Print announces price increases

Arco Paper and Print has increased the price of all its coated and uncoated reels and sheets by 8% as of 1 April 2011

The company cited an increase in raw material costs it said were "well beyond" a level that could be absorbed.

Ian Tracey, head of sales, said: "The reason for the increase is the rising costs experienced with sea freight and inland distribution, which has been affected by fuel surcharges.

"Our supplying mills have also been affected by raw material costs."

He added that all of the company's customers were aware of the "massive increases in raw material and logistics costs".

"While we have made every effort to absorb these costs we are no longer able to do so," he said.

Arco Paper and Print is based in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, and supplies premium quality coated fine art papers, uncoated papers and speciality papers and boards to the UK market.
