The sign manufacturer, which specialises in architectural and ‘way finding’ signage in the local education, healthcare and commercial sectors, launched its dealership route to the UK market in July 2012 and with its latest signing in Manchester this week the network has already racked up 45 local dealers.
Using the trade name, Optima, the Danish firm aims to embed its products into the UK market through a chain of local dealers. UK dealer manager Nicola Cleaver said: "We aren’t looking to build a huge network but with around 6,000 or 7,000 sign makers across the UK we need to make sure we have enough reach.
"By keeping the dealership network smaller we want to be able to work very closely with them and to give them that level of product exclusivity in the market."
Modulex manufactures a range of polyester-based, paint coated-signage that is delivered to sign makers in ‘kit form’ so that they are able to apply vinyl and graphics tailored to their clients specifications.
Paint colours are selected according to brand requirements and applied at no extra cost, Cleaver said. She added: "Using polyester paint rather than a powder-coated paint finish means the signs are longer lasting and more durable."
Cleaver said that using signage from the Modulex range meant that sign makers could give brand owners greater consistency.
She added: "Sign makers can buy from a product family where they know the product quality and finish is uniform so if they have customers with different sites they know that the signs will be consistent from our side every time."
