The coating for this product stems from a special polymer that absorbs energy from any source of light. Once the wire is put in the dark, the coating re-emits the energy in a soft green glow.

ContiTech will exhibit its Elastomer Coatings division, which targets the printing blanket market. On show will be the new metal blanket, the ContiAir Steel CE 51. According to the manufacturer, the product provides accurate colour rendition and high printing quality. Also on show will be ContiTech’s Phoenix Xtra blankets.

The Aqua Polymer plate is designed for water-based coating applications while the Rosa Polymer plate is suitable for both UV and water-based coating products. Tyref adds that key features for both products are durability, longevity and an optimum coating transfer.

Weko will launch its Procoat system for the application of surface protection chemicals for digital webs. Also on show is the Weko Flow, which was first shown at Drupa. The Flow, in conjunction with the Sigma Rotor Carrier, is designed to apply a precise amount of moisture to a paper web. The system can also apply chemicals for surface improvement. Weko will also be demonstrating its range of anti set-off powder spray units.
