The German manufacturer is running a series of free short seminars for printers and print buyers. According to the company, they have been designed to give visitors fresh ideas, open horizons and show you how to break new ground in your business. The seminars last for approximately 60 minutes and are being held at the Concourse Suite 21, next to the Heidelberg stand in Hall 8 near the Atrium 2 entrance. Seminar topics include lean manufacturing (Weds 19 May), marketing for printing companies (Thurs 20 May), ecological printing (Fri 21 May) and special applications for print buyers (Sat 22 May).

On HP's stand will be Business Enabler Kiosks providing information on finance, training and integration information. There will also be Application Pods staffed by HP experts and incorporating interactive touchscreen workstations. The customer kiosks will highlight applications from signage and packaging to labels to photobooks. There will be 25 different customers from all over the world. In addition, HP will be hosting ‘Breakfast Club' meetings from 9–10.30am on subjects including: general commercial printing; photos; books and publications; general commercial printing; DM and transpromo; and labels and packaging. HP is also running a customer seminar on 18 May from 9am to 4pm.

On stand will be a digital production showcase with Horizon collaborating with Hunkeler and Screen. The focus is on bookletmaking and folding production in-line with Hunkeler's sheet processing unit using printed rolls from Screen. In addition, Horizon will be linking up with press manufacturers Komori and Ryobi to highlight the efficiencies created through JDF workflow.

The K-Zone is a series of live talk shows on the Kodak stand featuring panel discussions. Each session will focus on a different topic and there will be around 30 lively sessions across the first six days of the show. Kodak has invited a number of industry analysts, customers and printing industry gurus to take part. There are four to five people on each panel.
