The Barry, Wales-based business, which was established in 1991, is using the new mono machine to produce pharmaceutical manuals, often on light paper stocks.
The company analysed a number of manufacturers before opting for the Océ machine, which met the key requirement of printing at high-speeds on to stocks of 60gsm.
According to the printer, the VarioPrint 6250 can output efficiently while eliminating paper curling and jamming. In addition the machine can handle intricate Japanese and Russian scripts often present in the manuals it produces.
The short-run machine has also enabled the company to move to on-demand production, eliminating the need to hold a two-month backlog of paper in storage.
This has led to annual efficiency savings of around £20,000 with the company anticipating a 40% increase in digital print output in the next year.
Adrian Hickey, director at Integrated Graphics, said: "This is the best bit of kit we have ever bought or seen for our printing work. Quite frankly, it could not have gone better.
"This leading-edge print system has far exceeded our expectations and given us the ability to win work that just wouldn’t have been possible before."
In addition to pharmaceutical manual production, Integrated Graphics specialises in the production of legal documents, exhibition pop-ups, leaflets and brochures.
