HP to run free web-to-print seminar and expo in London

HP is to run a dedicated web-to-print seminar in London outlining how the technologies can enable printers to offer customers new products and services.

The Heading4Profit with Web2Print event, which takes place on 17 September 2009, from 09.30 to 17.00 at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower, Knightsbridge, London, will also be supported by a small exhibition that includes Transeo Media's TAOPIX album creation software; DMP FLO Suite software; DirectSmile's creative personalisation software; web-to-print templating and quoting tools from Red Tie and the HP SmartStream Director print server.

The one-day seminar will feature a number of speakers including Gary Peeling of Precision Printing, Jon Bailey of ProCo, Red Tie's Marian Stefani and consultant Peter Lancaster, of W2P.

Julia Cole, marketing manager, UK and Ireland, HP, said: "The ability to streamline production, lower costs, better track jobs and reduce waste, is all achievable with a well implemented web-to-print solution in a digital print environment. Importantly, the technology is also enabling many print businesses to deliver superior customer service and develop new revenue streams - ideal recession-busting capabilities."
