The web-based offering provides customers with the option to print the jobs at home, receive it through the post or pick it up at a local copy and print centre.
The online platform, which is only in the US at present, can be co-branded by licencees and ties in with HP's Print 2.0 strategy, allowing for the personalised creation of products such as business cards, postcards, rubber stamps, loyalty cards and envelopes.
Customers can create designs themselves or use preloaded online templates when producing jobs. Alternatively they can utilise the MarketSplash design consultation service to help with the process.
Vyomesh Joshi, executive vice president of Imaging and Printing Group at HP, said: "As part of our Print 2.0 strategy, MarketSplash helps customers easily and affordably access professional design services from the web and print how, where and when they want."
He added the new service "helps small businesses create the high impact look of a big company without requiring the resources of one".
